Acne, scars and accutane

This young, amazing patient tried all the conservative acne medications to cure his acne but nothing worked. He took antibiotics, used multiple creams and washes but nothing worked. He finally took Accutane for 6 months and his acne is completely gone. He had no side effects from the medications except the usual dry skin and lips. We monitored labs a few times in the beginning of the treatment and at the end of the treatment. He is extatic that his face is clear and he can work, socialize and play sports without feeling conscious.
